PDF map (2008 revised 1 May) of the car parks and circulation patterns at Dorney.
The Wallingford Regatta has significantly more entries than other regattas at Dorney Lake and hence our car parking arrangements may be different to those you may be expecting.
Competing clubs have been sent enough parking passes to enable free entry for all athletes as long as you car-share. Otherwise you will be charged £10 per vehicle. Please also note that we have to pay a fee to Dorney Lake for every vehicle admitted to the site. It is therefore in both your and our interests for you and your crews to car-share and to travel to Dorney in as few cars as possible.
If you plan on bringing a trailer before the Regatta day itself please ensure that it is parked in car park C (field behind the tarmac car park B). Car park B is needed as a Coach park.
Please ensure, well before you arrive, that all passes are visible to regatta staff at the entrance to Dorney Lake.
Please do not park on any tarmac roadway unless specifically instructed to do so by an official - these must be kept clear for emergency access.
Please take your litter home with you or place in one of the bins provided.
Please note that Dorney Lake do not permit any barbeques on site.
Thank you.
YELLOW PASS HOLDERS:
Competitors pass:
Access to car park E
MUST turn right at front gate fork.
Competitors will park on the grass in the public parking areas E alongside the
course under the instructions of marshals. These parking areas are accessed by
turning right at the end of the site entrance road.
See revised plan and follow the instructions of marshals. There is a one-way system to exit from these car parks.
There will be space in the Enclosure for those who have booked and paid for gazebos.
Behind the enclosure is a separate area D for those requiring disabled parking.
GREEN PASS HOLDERS:
Trailer pass (must only be used by towing vehicles or vehicles carrying boats (singles sculls):
Access to car park B or C
Can turn left at front gate fork.
Only green pass holders will be allowed to turn left at the end of the site entrance road and drive to the boathouse area. Trailers will be parked in field C. Please follow the directions of marshals, particularly to keep access to area B clear
Buses will also be admitted to the green route and will be directed area B.
RED PASS HOLDERS:
Officials are also provided with red passes for access to car park A.
At all times you must drive safely and slowly on site. Please observe a 20mph speed limit on site roads. Once you are in parking areas remember that these are pedestrian-rich areas: please drive at walking pace. Please do not park on any tarmac roads: these must be kept clear for official and emergency access.
Please note that failure to comply with the above, or with instructions from a car park marshal, may render your crew or club liable to penalties from the Race Committee.
Wallingford Regatta and/or Dorney Lake Services may vary these arrangements at short notice if, for example, the ground is too wet in some areas.
